Texture Development in Aluminum Alloys with High Magnesium Content

چکیده

The evolution of texture in the AlMg6Mn0.7 (1565 ch) alloy throughout entire cycle its thermomechanical treatment has been studied. Using this as an example, a new way is shown to control development, which applicable alloys with high magnesium content. An integrated approach applied, including optical and electron microscopy, well X-ray diffraction analysis, determination mechanical properties modeling using algorithms crystallographic plasticity theory. All stages have studied, namely development deformation structure out as-cast reversing hot-rolling stand, continuous hot rolling, cold rolling final recrystallization annealing. study showed that second phase particles are main source nuclei at all temperature treatment. importance these increases when Zener-Hollomon parameter increases. To obtain maximum possible proportion random texture, processing must be carried parameters. However, should not interfere complete process same time. After annealing temperatures equal or greater than 350 °C, large formed, metal almost isotropic.

Ultralow Temperature Anelasticity of Aluminum-Magnesium Alloys

Results of internal friction measurements on the commercial aluminum-magnesium alloys 5052,5086 and 5486 are reported here over the temperature range 50 mK to 300 K, and compared with published data on alloy 5056. Effects of heat treatment and explosive bonds on the internal friction are evaluated. The quality factor of proposed multi-layer aluminum-alloy spherical resonant-mass detectors of gr...

High-Strength Aluminum P/M Alloys

POWDER METALLURGY (P/M) technology provides a useful means of fabricating net-shape components that enables machining to be minimized, thereby reducing costs. Aluminum P/M alloys can therefore compete with conventional aluminum casting alloys, as well as with other materials, for costcritical applications. In addition, P/M technology can be used to refine microstructures compared with those mad...
